The capital of Malaysia, situated halfway on western Malaysia, usually called 'KL'. Founded in 1857 by 87 men now has more than 1.3 Million inhabitants and growing hourly ;-) You find a constrution site in almost every street of the centre.
What has KL to offer? Well there are the world famous skyscrapers, including the highest building in the world (451m), and some interesting old buildings like the main train station and the Sultan Abdul Samad Building. There is still an old china town with daily markets. Although it is very crowded on the streets there are some parks around the cenre which invites you for a stroll around. And as you might expect there are different temples, shrines and mosques around. KL is a good starting point for different trips to the surroundings. (All images were taken in summer 1995.)
